Keeping with the tradition of a family-owned business, the TEAM at Key Real Estate Inc. prides itself on being able to provide the best possible service to all of our clients and customers, no matter what. Just like any other business, when the owner is "in the store", each of us feels a particular responsibility to take the time to get to know each of our clients, to listen to them with sensitivity and then to assist them in finding the property which meet their needs and answers their dreams.

We pride ourselves on not only taking those few extra steps to make our clientele feel at home, but doing whatever it takes to make it happen. If you are looking for a lending officer, we recommend you speak with any loan officer at Kennebunk Savings Bank. Check their website at

The prospect and process of buying a house can be daunting. After months ofsearching, we stumbled upon Key Real Estate and found the perfect house andthe perfect broker. Key Real Estate and Elias Thomas went above and beyond anybroker we have ever dealt with. Since we weren't from the area, Key tookcare of everything from inspections to the lawyer and kept us informed every stepof the way.

We have also been fortunate in finding a reliable and organized rentalbroker for the summer weeks when we cannot enjoy the house ourselves. Pat takescare of all the bookings, information, check in and check out. She even takescare of unscheduled maintenance at all hours of the day.I can't express enough how nice it has been to work with such nice, honest, and caring people and recommend Key Real Estate to all our friends.

-- Fred McNulty and Norm Paquin

I would like to take a minute to express my sincere gratitude to EliasThomas and the staff of Key Real Estate for the dedication and attention which they have displayed to me in the recent sale and purchase of my new home. Their attention to detail, perseverance, and support along with their kind and gentle mannerism has been incredibly helpful. During what can be avery stressful and emotional time, every effort was made to guarantee my piece of mind. I would not hesitate for a moment in recommending Key Real Estate to handle any future Real Estate needs I may have in the future.
-- Bruce R. Provencher

While looking for a summer home to purchase last year, I called several realtors including two "franchise offices" along with Key Real Estate. Of the three promises to "research my needs and get right back to me" only Key Real Estate responded! On the same day, yet! Elias Thomas promptly emailed me with some real possibilities and we made an appointment to see property that very weekend. Elias was quick to refine the list of properties and I found the home I wanted and made an offer without a lot of hassle.  From start to finish my experience purchasing through Key Real Estate was a real success story. The paperwork, financing, inspections and closing went smoothly and without a lot of stress. I feel as if I made a real friend in Mr. Thomas and I am more than happy to recommend Key Real Estate to anyone wishing to buy or sell in southern Maine. I should know, because I spent 12 years working for a "franchise" company!

We wanted to thank you for all the work you did for us after we decided on the house in Shapleigh. Even though we were the buyers, you and your staff worked as hard for us as you did the sellers. You continued even after closing, by giving us names and phone numbers of people and places we needed to contact for everything from power and fuel companies to contractors we needed for projects around the house. You have become more than a Realtor, you have become a friend we can rely on. If ever we decide to sell, Key Real Estate will be called with the greatest of confidence. Thank you!
-- Frank and Donna Juliano

I enjoy working with the folks at Key Real Estate. The entire office has a warm and friendly atmosphere. A family business, Key Real Estate is a place where "agents" evolve into friends.

A few years ago, when Elias sold me my cottage - or brokered the sale, he made the transaction process smooth and efficient, with no upsets or surprises. He and his colleagues proved responsive and communicative throughout the experience, readily available to  nswer any questions, always prepared with the information I needed, and happy to suggest a list of dependable contacts for various services or questions (inspections, environmental questions, etc). Key Real Estate made the buying process hassle-free. They continue to be a great source of local information as we settle into the community.

Key Real Estate is now my rental agent for my cottage on Balch Lake. Pat is very well organized and takes care of all of the rental details and logistics, making the experience truly pleasant. She advises me on rates, screens potential tenants, manages the summer housekeeping between renters, maintains detailed records, promptly notifies me of any concerns and generally looks after my interests. I really appreciate working with Key because I can always reach Pat when I have a question and she is always responsive, informed, pleasant, efficient, and helpful...and she fills the cottage throughout the summer months!

When we started looking for our camp, we were unfamiliar with, but curious about the area. Elias Thomas’ experience and knowledge of the region, the lake, the local people and the home-buying process really put us at ease. Anytime you buy property, there are going to be lots of questions and Elias, along with his staff, went out of his way to answer them thoroughly and completely for us, from the showing to the closing. There’s no substitute for the kind of experience and knowledge that Elias and Key Real Estate have to offer.
